Welcome to Glasnevin
Located just three kilometres from Dublin City Centre, the National Botanic Gardens are an oasis of calm and beauty, and entry is free. A premier scientific institution, the gardens also contain the National Herbarium and several historic wrought iron glasshouses.
The National Botanic Gardens are noted for a fine plant collection holding over 15,000 plant species and cultivars from a variety of habitats, all around the world. The Gardens are also famous for the exquisitely restored and planted glasshouses, notably the Turner Curvilinear Range and the Great Palm House.
At Glasnevin you will find The Garden Restaurant and the Courtyard Cafe with seating for food and drinks in the Visitor Centre.
Open Daily
Glasnevin is open all year round, every day, except for Christmas Day.
The Gardens are free to enter and explore.
