The Office of Public Works sponsored a free performance of William Shakespeare's 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' perfomed by the Chapterhouse Theatre Company in association with Berwick House Productions.
The play was directed by Alec Fellows-Bennett.

Over 600 member's of the public attended the production, for which tickets had been allocated on a lottery basis.

The Office of Public Works is committed to utilising properties in its care in an imaginative manner, and the Botanic Gardens will be scheduling similar events in the near future.
