SEED FROM GLENVEAGH

Seed collected in 2008 from plants in a state-owned garden situated in county Donegal (Glenveagh).

Haec semina anno 2008 collecta sunt de plantis in horto publico in Dunagallensi (Glenveagh) comitatibus collocatis.

Part of Glenveagh National Park, the garden is situated on Lough Veagh (L. Beagh) in the centre of northwest Donegal 55º 2' N, 7º 38' W. The garden is surrounded by hills but is at 60 m altitude. The mean January temperature (1991-1993) is 2.4 ºC, and the mean July temperature is 16.8ºC. Annual rainfall is approx. 1600 mm.
