THE ROLE OF THE LIBRARY

The Library at Glasnevin contains a collection of more than 14,000 books and 800 Journals, as well as extensive archives relating to the history of horticulture in Ireland, and the flora of Ireland. The library is a research library, serving the purposes of the Botanic Gardens, and is not open to the public. Researchers, students and horticulturists who wish to use the library may do so if they arrange an appointment with the Librarian. They should write in the first instance to the Librarian at the National Botanic Gardens.
